How do I Cancel a Task in the Portal?

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

ATS employees with Technician level access on up can cancel Tasks from MOTH or MRCT Work Orders in the Portal.  They can also cancel any follow-up tasks entered from all Work Order Types (even proactive.)

You must, however, have supervisor permissions to Cancel a PM or PdM in the portal.

This is only possible when there are no Labor, Consumed Parts, Repair Codes or a Malfunction against the Task.

2. There will be a Confirm Task Cancellation dialog box. Select YES.

3. A confirmation will appear in the upper right corner of the upper panel.

4. This will be reflected in the upper panel and the Task Summary views.

From the Supervisor role, this Work Order can be re-opened and re-assigned to a Technician.

When a Task is canceled it will still be visible to the user.  However, once the task goes through the review process, you must submit a request to OpEx to get it re-opened if necessary.

If it is a Follow-Up Task being canceled, the user must first DELETE the Malfunction if it were entered upon creation.
