The short answer is Yes. There are many places where hyperlinks can be added in EFP. Let's talk about those first.
The Planner/Scheduler can add a hyperlink to the Job Plan in the Planner Portal. Because those will flow all the way to the task, every time the task is generated, that is the most efficient way to do it if you want the same link to be available on a all subsequent tasks.
If the task has already generated, the Planner Scheduler can also add the link in the Planning Wizard.
Any link that has been added by the Planner Scheduler or through the Planner Portal can only be deleted by someone with Supervisor access.
And finally, Technicians have the ability to add hyperlinks to any task.
This allows the Technician to attach something bigger than the 20mg limit in the regular attachment section.
An example of what the Tech might add would be a link to a video from R360.
Here are the steps that a Technician would follow to add a hyperlink to a Work Order or Task.
Just like with Attachments, when a Tech adds a link to a Task, it will be added to the Work Order as well.
If you have multiple tasks on a work order, the all of the attachments and links from the related tasks will roll up and be shown on the Work Order.
1. In the Tech Portal, click on Tasks, locate the task number and highlight the row to load it.
3. Scroll down until you see the Links header under the Attachments section.
4. If any hyperlinks have already been added to the Task, they will show up in here.
Only people with Supervisor credentials will be able to delete hyperlinks that have been added by the P/S through the Planner Portal.
