Equipment Criticality is primarily determined by the Customer. Here are some basic guidelines that can be used to get things started.
| Criticality | What it means |
|---|---|
| 1 - Critical | Absolutely Necessary for Production. Little/No Redundancy. |
| 2 - Important | Significant Impact to Production. Limited Redundancy. |
| 3 - Required | Limited impact to production. Multiple Redundancies. |
| 4 - Low | Little to No Impact to the Production of the Plant. |
| 5 - Least Critical |
If criticality needs to be changed, please make sure that the customer is involved and bought in to the new rating.
