PM/PdM Compliance - ATS Standard

Updated on

PM/PdM Compliance evaluates the number of preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) tasks that were completed within their prescribed compliance window for the given period against the total number of PM and PdM task that were due during the period.

The measurement of PM/PdM compliance is calculated by the following formula:

The compliance windows are:

Frequency Window
Daily 1
Weekly 2
Bi-Weekly 3
Tri-Weekly 5
Monthly 6
6 Week 9
Bi-Monthly 12
Quarterly 17
4 month 23
Semi-Annual 28
Annual 28
18 Month 28
Bi-Annual 28
Tri-Annual 28
4 Year 28
5 Year 28
6 Year 28
7 Year 28
8 Year 28
10 Year 28

It is up to the Site to stagger the PM due dates throughout the month so that PMs can be balanced with the Site’s available labor.  Canceled PMs will be counted as Incomplete and Non-Compliant, whereas duplicate PMs will not be counted.

The Trend Chart displays the PM/PdM compliance percentage and the number of tasks that were compliant and non-compliant by month for the past 13 months.

The Pareto chart displays the top sublocations with the worst compliance rate during the previous 6-month period.  The P/S will review the non-compliant PM/PdM tasks to determine and document the reason why they were not completed on time. After determining the reason for non-compliance the Site will develop an action plan to facilitate completing the past due PM/PdM tasks.

This standard chart will also have a section for action items. This section will identify the actions, owners, and due dates for action plans that will be executed to improve performance. The development of the action item section should be coordinated by the P/S and jointly developed by the Team Leads, Site Supervisors, and the Site Manager. The Site Manager is ultimately responsible for the completion, quality, and conformance to the action items identified.

Note for compliance of PM's:

The PM CANNOT be started BEFORE the Compliance Start Date and MUST have the last labor stamp on or before the Compliance Finish Date in order to be compliant.

If any the Labor Stamps are entered BEFORE or AFTER the COMPLIANCE window, the PM will be Non-Compliant and the user will have to enter a Reason for Variance.
