Practice Session 2

The purpose of this work is not only to give you some exposure to the Portal and CLIENT, but also to give you some tasks to use throughout the Training.

Log into the Tech Portal Training Environment, Site 0493. Note: If you do not have access to this site, please contact the Help Desk before continuing.

Do NOT do any work in Production. Site 0493 is used exclusively for training and will not affect your metrics.

1. Click the Create Work Order Button. (CM TASK)

Leave the Type of Work as CM, and the Priority as Normal.

Please put your name as the first part of the Description, followed by "Power is shorting out".

Type letters or numbers in the Equipment field until something populates. Find a machine that is in the UP position and leave it that way. Click NEXT.

No Additional Notes are required.

Leave the Technician as Unassigned and Click Submit.

Write down the Work Order and Task Number. You will need them later. Click Dismiss.

If you weren't going to work on this task right away, where could you find this task later?

2. Click the Create Work Order Button. (PR TASK)

Choose Project as the Type of Work.

Raise the Priority to Urgent.

Enter "Rebuild Safety Guards Around Area" as the description.

On the Equipment/Sub-location screen, choose any sub-location. Click NEXT.

In Additional Notes, enter "Please contact Eric Sefton with Quote 608-555-1211". Click NEXT.

Assign the work to a Tech. Note the Technician's name for your records. Click Submit.

Write down the Work Order and Task Number. You will need them later. Click Dismiss.

3. Click the Create Work Order Button. (CI TASK - PROACTIVE)

Mark the Type of Work CI - Continuous Improvement. Priority is 3-Normal.

Description is "5S the area "

Use the toggle to mark as Proactive. Click NEXT

Choose a sublocation. Click NEXT.

No additional notes are required. Click NEXT.

Assign the work it to a Tech. Note the Technician's name for your records. Click Submit.

Write down the Work Order and Task Number. You will need them later. Click Dismiss.
