6.21 Where can I see if there are alternate addresses entered for my Site?

Updated on

Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to EFACTORY PRO and the appropriate permissions to access the client. Client access roles are limited to maintenance support and supply chain roles. (Buyers and Supply Chain Specialist)

This training will show you where to go to see if there are alternate addresses entered for your site.

Why would a site have alternate addresses?

Some sites have multiple plants or warehouses linked to a single Ship To address (Place ID). These addresses can be entered during the site's initial setup or added later by users with Admin, SCS Support, or Ops Support credentials.

1. From the main menu, type PLACES in the system search and click on the tab that populates.

2. Expand the red chevron in the search criteria.

3. Enter the 4-digit site number.

4. Click on the green magnifying glass.

5. The associated place records will load.

Click on the ST# tile.

The ST# is the one that directly relates to your site.  This is the Place Record you will always use.

6. What you see in the lower tabs depends on whether or not you have customized your screen settings.

At a minimum, you should be sure you have the Details, Addresses, Locations and Bins, Equipment and Contracts tabs visible.

7. Under the Details tab, click on Logistics.

8. This is where you will find the default receiving location.

All part requests will default to this location in the portal, and if you want to change it, you will have to do so at the time the tech requests the part.

9. In our example, there are four Address ID's associated with the Place Record.

There is the default address at 8201 N. University, and then three plant addresses:  Plant 100, 200, and 300.
