Any time you cannot see the bottom area of the screen you are working with, you can collapse the header.
This gives you access to work with the details in the lower workspace.
Depending on the screen there MAY or MAY NOT be an implied save, so as a best practice you should always SAVE by hitting Control S after each entry when working with the header collapsed.
In the lower left corner, you will see a message when you save. It will either say Saved Successfully or No Need to Save.
