How can I save my screen setup in the CLIENT?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

As most of your work in the CLIENT is done in the Lower Tabs, it can maximize your time and efficiency by customizing those tabs to the order you will use the most.

This same process can and should be used for all of your commonly used screens.

In this example, we are going to show how to customize the Default Task view from showing All Tabs to just show Steps, Labor and Expenses, Part Needs, Part Used, Notes, Quality, Malfunctions, Events, Readings, Resources, and Attachments.

1. From the Main Menu, enter Service> Task.

2. Right Click on any of the lower tabs that you don't want to keep in your display and choose "Move to Menu".

Repeat this process until only the Desired Tabs are visible in the Lower Tabs.

3. If you accidentally move a tab to the menu, and you want to return it to the lower tabs, simply click on the menu, and select the tab you want to have added.

4. Now you can move the tabs to the most frequently checked order.

  • All Tasks will have Steps, Labor and Notes.
  • Malfunction and Events go together, and along with Quality codes are often used on CM Tasks.
  • You will only need the Part Tabs if you are a Parts site, and can actually see all parts used through the Parts Needs tab.

5. Click on the tab you want to move and choose Move to First, Last, Right or Left to reorder.

6. Once all your tabs are in the desired order, go to the system search in the top right corner and type in Save.  Choose Save Screen Settings.

7. A confirmation message will appear.  Click YES to continue.

8. A  message will let you know that your screen settings have been saved with the lower tabs in the new configuration.

The next time you open another tab, your lower tabs will populate in the saved format.
