What kinds of requisitions are considered HOT REQs?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

In eFACTORYPRO, the HOT REQ checkbox is flagged automatically whenever the Part Need priority is marked as either 1) Emergency or 2) Urgent. This alerts the Purchasing Group that special attention is needed.   The HOT REQ checkbox is Read Only and cannot be modified.

The same logic applies whether you are creating a Requisition for Parts or Services.

Remember, the Need by Date defaults in to the current date + 7 and the Priority of 3.  If you mark this Part Need as either a Priority 1 or 2, you will need to MANUALLY change the Need by Date if you want it sooner.

1. Add the Part or GNS line as usual.

2. The priority will default to 3.  Raise the Priority to 1 or 2.  This must be done before adjusting the date.

3. You can now adjust the date to anything as early as today.

4. The Req will be flagged as a HOT REQ by default.  It is grayed out and cannot be changed.

5. The Line detail also shows the Priority is a 1- Emergency or 2 - Urgent.

Events will track that the Priority has been changed.
