Which report will show me all the jobs ready to be scheduled? It's the Task Planning Report!

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

The Task Planning Report is a great way to see which jobs have been planned and are ready to be scheduled by the P/S.  This report reflects the fields that are required for a Task to be considered as planned in your Power BI metrics.

By far, the EASIEST place to update Tasks with the necessary criteria to count as "Planned" is the Planner Portal.  This should be where you go to do do this work.  

All of the following fields may be updated in the Planner Portal before running the report:

  • Date Planned (added automatically once all required fields have been added)
  • Steps added (minimum of one additional step is required) - This can no longer be done in the CLIENT.
  • Labor estimated (Task Duration is greater than zero)
  • Skillsets are also required.

You must access this report from the Internal ATS reporting server:  https://ssrs-internal.advancedtech.com/Reports.  You must be VPN'd in to access the internal server.

1. Open the ATS Reporting Server.

2. Choose the appropriate folder for your language preference.

3. Select the Task Planning Report from the list.

4. Your four-digit site number is the only required field.  

5. It is a good idea to enter a shorter date range so that you are not pulling a large amount of data.  One option is to use the Compliance Fields.

6. Another option is to enter the Date Planned Fields.

If no other date range is selected, the  Task Planned Date From field will populate with a date one month prior to today's date and time.  You can adjust if necessary.

7. To further narrow the report, you could enter a specific status reason.

8. Click View Report.

9. You will know the report is loading properly when you see the bottom bar populate.

10. If you want to export the field, click on the floppy disc and choose the desired format option.

There is currently a bug in the system that is causing the Planned Y/N to pull incorrect data.  If the data in this field looks incorrect to you, you can use another field "Updated Planned Dates" to get to the Info.

 

The field you should ALWAYS use to determine whether or not the Task has been planned is "Updated Planned Dates". If the task has been planned, (or is a PM or PdM) the field will default to Y.

  • Compliance Start and Finish
  • Duration (min)
  • Total Labor Hours
  • Planned (Y/N)
  • Kitted (Y/N)
  • Created By
  • Date Planned
  • Steps Added
  • Labor Estimated
  • Updated Planned Dates
  • Created on (Date and Time)
  • Task Completion (Date and Time)


****If you are entering multiple variables into the same field you must separate each variable by the pipe character (shift and the button above the enter key).

Example: Closed|Cancelled|Hold

If you use a comma or any other character you will NOT get the results you are looking for.****
