The Environmental Health and Safety Team will identify which Task Templates need to be flagged as Regulatory and will mark them appropriately.
Regulatory fields can only be edited by people with Supervisor permissions. If you have the proper permissions, and need to edit the field after the task has generated, the change can be made through the Task Screen in the CLIENT or the Task Summary Screen in the Portal.
Remember, you can always make a copy of a Job Plan for your particular site. How does the Copy Job Plan functionality work in the Planner Portal?
These fields will be visible in the Supervisor Portal for the Assign and Review functionality as well.
There are 6 types of codes:
- Federal Law
- Federal Permit
- State Law
- State Permit
- Local Law
- Local Permit
In some cases, the work may be covered by State and Local Law - so both will be checked.
For PMs, anyone with Supervisor access has the ability to assign a Regulatory Field to the Task Template.
Here are some examples of which regulatory codes are used for what kinds of tasks. Please remember, these can vary by state and local laws and requirements.
If in doubt, please contact a member of your EHS Team.
Regulatory Code | Task | Example |
Federal Law | Monthly Sampling | Breathing Air System |
Federal Permit | Maintenance Log | Title V Air Permit |
State Law | Inspection | Boiler Annual Inspection |
State Permit | Operation Log | State Air Permit |
Local Law | Leak Records | Ammonia Refrigeration System |
Local Permit | Valve Replacement | Pressure Vessel License |
As with other alerts, Regulatory will show on the ESM. You will see the indicator on the tile, and when you expand the panel. Additionally, you will be able to set site-specific escalations around this field as well.
