2.9 What is the Kitted Task Status Reason and when would I use it?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

There isn't really a true "kitting" function in eFACTORYPRO.  Some of our bigger sites use the Kitted Task Reason to notify their Technicians when the Supply Chain Specialist has gathered all the Part Needs for the Task and placed them in a particular area for the Tech.

For the purpose of this document, we will just show you how to mark a task with this status reason.  Each site uses this functionality differently.

1. From the Tasks page, click on the Task list button.  Find the Task by clicking on the three lines next to the Task ID and entering the Task number

2. There will be Part Needs on the Task.  As the Parts have not yet been consumed, the flag will be red.

3. Ensure you are at the Summary Panel.

4. Click Edit.

5. The Task Status must first be changed to IN PLANNING if is not already.

6. Go to Task Status Reasons.  Choose Kitted from the drop-down.

7. Click Save.

8. The task grid and summary panel now display the status IN PLANNING with the Kitted Status Reason.

Task Status, Status Reasons and  Sub-types can be viewed on Shift Turnover and Power BI reporting.
