3.6 How do I clear my cache?

This training will show you how to clear your cache.

Why do I need to clear my cache?

Clearing you cache resets your browsing history and updates any profile changes. The method for clearing your cache varies by browser. Once cleared, you may need to clear your cache and log into eFactoryPro again.

In many browsers, holding down the Shift key and pressing F5 will clear the cache for the current window. This is helpful if you've recently cleared your cache and need to refresh without starting over completely.

Internet Explorer

1. Click on the Settings (Gear Icon) in the Upper Right Corner of the screen.

2. Choose Safety.

3. Choose Delete Browsing History.

4. A Pop-Up box appears.  

5. At a minimum, you want to delete your Temporary Internet Files and Cookies and Website Data. Check those two boxes and any more that you wish to delete.

6. Click Delete.

Re-open the efactoryPro Work Module to continue.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Click on the Three Horizontal Lines in the Upper Right Hand Corner of the screen.

2. Choose the History Icon from the Menu.

3. Choose Clear Recent History from the drop-down Menu.

4. Select the time range you want to delete.  (Everything is suggested)

5. At a minimum, you must delete Cookies and Cache. Add any additional options you wish to delete.

6. Hit the Clear Now button.

Re-open the efactoryPro Work Module to continue.

Google Chrome

1. Click on the Three Vertical Dots in the Upper Right Hand Corner of the screen.

2. Choose History from the drop-down menu.

3. Choose Clear Browsing Data from the left hand menu.

4. From the Pop-Up Box, ensure that Cookies and Cache are selected. Select any other options you wish to delete.

5. Click the Clear Browsing Data button.

Re-open the efactoryPro Work Module to continue.

Microsoft Edge

1. Click on the three dots in the Upper Right Corner of the screen.

2. Choose Settings

3. Choose Privacy, search, and services

4. Select Choose What to clear

5. Select the time range you want to delete.  (All time is suggested)

6. At a minimum, you must delete Cookies and Cache. Add any additional options you wish to delete.

7. Hit the Clear Now button.

Re-open the efactoryPro Work Module to continue.

eFactoryPro Client

1. From the Main Menu, select File > Refresh Cache.

2. Click Yes to confirm this action.

3. Once the process is finished, this message will appear in the lower left corner.

4. You will need to close the tab that you were working in and re-open it to see the changes. To close a single tab, simply click on the X next to the name.

5. If you prefer to close all the tabs, right click on any tab and choose Close All.
