The Task that took the machine down SHOULD be the one that takes it back up. In eFACTORYPRO, downtime is tracked at the Task level.
Before entering a Malfunction on a machine, you should check the Related Malfunction tab.
If the machine is already in a Down or Reduced state, there is no need to enter another Malfunction start against it... simply talk to the Tech who is working on the machine.
Always check the Related Malfunction tab before adding a Malfunction to the Task.
1. To Edit or Stop a Malfunction that was entered when the Task was created, select the Malfunction icon from the Tasks tab.
2. Select the Malfunction.
3. Select the Malfunction Closed toggle.
4. Select the Stop calendar and enter a day and time. Select Done.
5. Select SAVE.
6. This will bring the machine back to an UP status and it will give you a Repair Time.
If the machine was Up/Reduced at Task creation but needs to be taken Down during the work process, follow these steps:
If the Work Order was put in with the equipment as “Up” or “Reduced” and you have to take it down to do part of your work, you will have to enter the Malfunction information in stages.
7. Click on the Malfunction icon.
8. Select the Malfunction .
9. Select Down as the Malfunction Type.
10. Select a Malfunction Start Time.
11. Select SAVE.
12. You will receive a confirmation at the bottom of the window and this will give you the duration thus far (from the time entered until the current time).
If the user creates a malfunction with the same status, these will be a line in red that reads "An overlapping malfunction exists and continuing will over calculate down time."
To remove a Malfunction that was created in error from the TASK, follow these steps:
13. Click on the Malfunction and swipe left. Click Delete.
14. A message will ask you to confirm the Delete. Click yes.
15. A pop-up of confirming successful deletion will appear in the upper right corner.
To remove or edit a Malfunction that was created in error from the WORK ORDER, follow these steps:
In the following example the Work Order has two tasks under it, each with it's own malfunction. If both malfunctions are on the same piece of equipment overlapping malfunction information will also be listed.
16. Click on the WO tab and Find the Work Order.
17. Click on the Malfunctions icon.
18. Malfunctions will be listed. Swipe left on the Malfunction and select Delete.
19. If the user DELETES they will get a confirmation message.
20. If the user wants to EDIT the malfunction start time or add a malfunction stop time they can click on the malfunction to access the Malfunction Summary and then click on the calendar to access the start and stop time.
If there is ONE task with a malfunction and that malfunction is deleted or stopped, the equipment will automatically be put back into an UP status.
