Using filters will be the best way to create a very specific list of tasks/work orders or to find specific types of work.
1. The default view upon entering the Tech Portal is going to be 'My Open Tasks'. This will be the tasks assigned to the person logged in that have a status of OPEN. So the user logged in will have immediate access to their work. remember, any task selected in the list in the upper panel will populate in the lower panel to be worked on.
2. Each Column will have a couple options for filtering. The ascending/descending arrows and a different type of filter behind the three line icon.
3. What is populated in the column will dictate what filter is behind the three line icon. One will be a search bar that defaults to Equals. The user will also have the option of Less Than and Greater Than.
Notice after a filter has been added to a column that a red funnel icon will appear to show that the column has been filtered.
4. Another type of filter will be for columns that have a set number of options. In this case STATUS. This filter will list all the option with the ability to select/deselect the choices to narrow down your list.
5. Another type of filter will be attached to the dated columns. This will allow you to selected a couple dates to choose between (default) or to select a specific date(s). The dates can be entered by using the offset option which will offset is number of days from the current day (-1 for yesterday, +0 for today, +1 for tomorrow, etc.) or an exact date can be chosen.
6. Columns with text and numbers, like Asset Description, will have a search bar that will match up with Starts With, Ends With, Equals and Contains.
7. For the Technician Column you will be able to filter by Unassigned, Assigned or Assigned to a specific person.
A filter can be added to every single column if need be to get a very specific list of Work Orders/Task.
