8.11 | What if my credit card transaction fails in eCommerce?

Updated on

If a credit card transaction fails, the order will not be placed in eCommerce.

There are several reasons that a credit card transaction could fail while checking out in eCommerce:

1. Invalid credit card number entered.  If this occurs, you will be returned to the checkout. A red warning will appear below the credit card number text box stating "Credit Card Number must be valid".  Verify the credit card number and re-enter.

2. The credit card is expired and the charge cannot be made.  The error shown below will appear, you must use a credit card that is not yet expired.

3. Using the incorrect CVV code will also cause an error (shown below).  Enter the correct code to complete checkout.

4. If you continue to have issues, please contact the eCommerce administrator ([email protected]) or the ATS Customer Service Team for further help.

Tip - You will receive an order confirmation and order number once the order is placed and has processed correctly.
