6.14 FAQ: What information is the Part Search pulling from when working in the Work Module?

Definition of some terms:

Bill of Materials - this will return results that are model-specific and will be all parts associated to this specific machine ENTERPRISE WIDE. Not just parts you have used but all parts used on this same machine by everyone as long as that machine is not modified beyond the point of no return.

My Site Stock - This will be a list of every part that has ever been in stock at your specific facility at some point. So not just whats there now but what has been there in the past.

Enterprise Stock -This will search every part # ever created at ATS.

Where the search pulls from when searching for a part?

  • Part ID
  • Description
  • Manufacturer
  • Manufacturer Part Number
  • Part Group
  • Part Reference 1
  • Cross Reference 1
  • UNSPSC (this will only be used by our sites in Mexico working with Carrier).
  • Site Reference Number

All of the above categories are populated in the in the EFP Client.

What can be entered when searching for a part?

When entering information into the search bar the user can enter a number or a word. They can also enter multiple search terms by simply putting a space in between those items. No special character required. Whatever is put into the search bar will be cross-referenced against the categories mentioned above.
