2.2 As a Technician, how do I correct a Work Order that was incorrectly put in as "Down"?

Updated on

Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFactoryPro.

This training course will take you through the process of correcting a task where the machine was recorded as down.

It is always a good idea to stay on top of your data!!!  If you update data older than 4 months, you will not see the changes until the following Monday.  (It refreshes Sunday overnight.)  If your data is older than 13 months, it may not be worth updating.  The changes will not show up until the second day of the next month.

Correcting from the TASK:

1. Find the Task:

  • If the Task was created within the last 24 hours, you can find it under the Task tab titled "Recent Customer Tasks".
  • You should always be able to find the Task under "Down and Reduced".  Simply search for it by Asset ID.
  • Click on the Task number to hyperlink into the Task Summary screen.

2. Go to the Malfunction icon on the Task.

By default the screen that loads is at the Task level.

3. The current Malfunction is listed on the left, and the right button shows any related Malfunctions for this machine.

Since this Malfunction start was at the same time as the Work Order creation, it would count in your breakdown metric.

4. To remove the breakdown and the Malfunction, click on the three lines in the Malfunction line under Action.

5. Click Delete from the Menu.

6. Check YES to confirm the deletion of the Malfunction.

7. A Confirmation Message appears to tell you that the Malfunction was successfully deleted.

8. The Task now shows no malfunction information.

Correcting from the Work Order:

9. Find the Work Order.

10. To get to the malfunctions either select the malfunction icon.

11. Select the Actions button on the Malfunction you want to delete.

12. Select Delete.

13. Confirm deletion.

14. Malfunction has been deleted and the equipment will return to an UP status.

Equipment will only return to UP status if the deleted malfunction was the ONLY malfunction associated to that specific piece of equipment.

15. There is always a chance of a Work Order having more than one task or overlapping malfunctions.

In that case the malfunction section would list all malfunctions listing their specific task and the overlapping information. Deleting will work the same as above.
