Updated on

Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFACTORYPRO.

This training course will take you through the process of creating a group in the ESM.

The only users that will be able to create a group will be Users with Supervisor credentials.

The Equipment Status Monitor now has the capability to allow sites to create their own groups.  There are any number of examples of groups that might be important for your customer.  Here are just a few ideas:

  • The top 2 production lines at the site.
  • A grouping of the same kind of machines (Finns, Robots, etc.).
  • Critical 1 machines in a high-visibility sub-location.

1. Go to the site home page.  You may have to select this as a landing page if you have access to multiple sites.  From here, there will be an option to ADD GROUP.

3. Enter a name for the new group (required).

There is a 25-character limit for the name.

4. Available equipment will be listed in a column on the left.

Here the user can search and select the pieces of equipment they would like to populate in the new group. Check the box in front of each piece of equipment. In this case we filters to include equipment with CONVEYOR in the description.

5. Select the ADD button.

6. The selected equipment will now be populated in the GROUP EQUIPMENT column.

7. If all the equipment that the user wants to add is populated select the SAVE button.

8. The new group will now be populated in GROUPS.

Groups will be listed in alphabetical order.

9. The user now has a custom view in the ESM.

You now can simply click on a particular group to bring up the list of equipment for that group.

If you want to edit this group at a later time, you can just click on the EDIT icon next to the group name.
