6.6 How does Hold-Waiting on Materials work for sites not managing parts in EFP?

Updated on

Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFACTORYPRO.

ATS offers a variety of contract variations based on customer needs. At some sites, we are responsible for purchasing parts and managing the crib, while at other sites, we may manage the crib, but all part transactions are handled outside of eFACTORYPRO.

This training will guide you through how to set your default site location in the Work Module.

If your site's inventory is purchased and tracked in EFP, the system automatically checks stock levels and places the task on 'HOLD/Waiting on Materials' if the material is out of stock, until it is received. However, if your site is not responsible for inventory, this validation is bypassed in the system.

1. From the Work Module, find the appropriate Task.

Highlight it to load it in the lower panel.

2. The task summary panel loads.

3. Click on the EDIT button to edit the Summary.

4. Select the drop-down arrow next to status and choose Hold.

5. From the drop-down arrow next to status reason choose Waiting on Materials.

6. Select SAVE.

7. The Task now shows in the Grid and in the summary panel as HOLD/ Waiting On Materials (WMAT).

Once the part is delivered to the site, change the status to In Progress. As a best practice, you may want to add a note to the Technician once the part has arrived.

Once the part is delivered to the site, change the status to In Progress.
