2.6 As a Technician, how do I change the Equipment/Sub-Location on a Work Order?

Updated on

Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFactoryPro.

This training course will take you through the process of changing the equipment or sub-location on a task.

This will only be done at the TASK level. In order to be able to change equipment or sub-location on a Work Order, it cannot have labor, parts, repair codes, etc. against it. If any work has been put against the Work Order, the option to change it will not be available.

From the Tasks view in the Work Management Module, select desired Task.

1. Select the pencil icon in the Summary field.

2. Now search and select a new piece of equipment (search bar) or new sub-location (drop down).

After you click into the search bar the option to select the same equipment is there. Search for Different Equipment will bring up the Table Filter to find new equipment.

3. Once a new piece of equipment/sub-location has been selected, you will be allowed to enter a malfunction if you've selected a piece of equipment.

You cannot enter a malfunction against a sub-location.

4. If necessary, choose a malfunction type and enter a new Malfunction Start time.

5. Select NEXT.

6. Select a Team to be assigned.

7. Hit SELECT.
