2.5 As a Technician, why can't I add a malfunction to an open Task? (Sub-Location)

This training course will explain why you wouldn't be able to take a task to the DOWN/REDUCED status.

Most likely, the Task has been entered against a Sub-Location and you cannot enter a malfunction against a Sub-Location / Work Area / Value Stream.

1. Ensure you are working at the Task level.

2. You will notice that there is NO malfunction icon in the slider icon row.

3. You will also notice that this task is put against a Sub-Location.

Tasks that have been entered against a Sub-Location cannot have a malfunction put against it. This is the same for a Work Area/Value Stream.
