Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFACTORYPRO
This training course will take you through the process of using the Attachments button.
Attachments are never required on a Task, but may be helpful in some cases. One suggestion for using Attachments is on Critical Finds.
1. From the Work Module home page, go to the appropriate Task view and find the Task.
2. We are working at the Task level, so click on the Attachments icon.
4. A pop-up box opens - click on Choose File.
From here you must select the place from which you are uploading the picture.
5. Select the name of the file.
7. Enter a Description of the file (optional).
8. Click SAVE.
9. A confirmation message tells you that the file was successfully uploaded.
10. The Attachment is listed under the Attachments screen and there will be a thumbnail in the first column.
While there is no size limit for attachments, we do ask that you use your best judgment.
- Larger files, like OEM manuals, should be scanned and kept in the Knowledge Base.
- The attachment section works best for documenting Critical finds, or attaching a small word document or .PDF with specific instructions if necessary.
What the user will see to the left of the Attachment line:
- A preview picture (thumbnail) will display of each attachment if that attachment is an image file.
- If the attachment is a PDF, Excel, or Word doc there will be a small icon instead of a thumbnail.
- This picture or icon will show as the first column on the page.
If the attachment is a picture file the thumbnail can be selected and view from this view.
Attaching a Link - users will be also able to attach links to the tasks under the Attachment icon.
11. Select the Links button on the left.
13. Enter a title for the link.
14. Enter the URL.
15. Select Save.
16. The link will be uploaded to the Task and a confirmation message will appear.
Printing the Attachments (via the Print Task button)
17. Select the Print Task button below the Task ID.
18. All the attachments on this task will populate in a list.
Select the file or files you would like to have printed at the bottom of the task report.
