2.23 As a Technician, how do I mark a Task as Hold-Waiting on Materials in the Work Module? (ATS does NOT manage inventory in EFP)

Updated on

Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFACTPRYPRO.

This training course will take you through the process of marking a task as Hold/Waiting On Materials.

If your site's inventory is purchased and tracked in EFP, the system automatically validates when material is not in stock, and places the Task on HOLD/Waiting on Materials until the part is received into stock. Because your site is not responsible for inventory, that validation is skipped in the system and we will follow these steps.

As I am sure you know, ATS has a number of different contract variations based on customer needs.  In some sites, we are responsible for purchasing parts and managing the crib.  In other sites, we may manage the crib, but all part transactions are handled outside of eFACTORYPRO.

1. From the Work Module, find the appropriate task.

If it is not in your Open Tasks, you can go to All Tasks, click on the three lines next to Task Id, enter the task number, and click on line to bring the task into the lower panel.

2. The task summary panel will load - Click the EDIT icon.

3. Select the drop-down arrow next to status and choose HOLD.

4. From the drop-down arrow next to status reason choose Waiting on Materials.

5. Select SAVE.

6. The Task now shows in the Grid and in the summary panel as HOLD/ Waiting On Materials (WMAT).

Once the part is delivered to the site, change the status to In Progress.

As a best practice, you may want to add a note that the part has arrived.
