Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFACTORYPRO.
This training will show you what the task will look if some but not all of your parts are in stock.
When you request more than what's available, EFP splits the lines between what's in stock and what needs to be ordered. In the example below we will place an order for a part that will use IN STOCK, REPLACEMENT PARTS, and require a BACK ORDER.
1. For the line item that is IN STOCK the options will be to: View Bin Info, Consume Part Need and to Edit the Need By Date.
2. For the line that will generate a requisition the options will be: View Part Bin Info, Edit Quantity, Edit Need By Date and Cancel Part Need.
3. If a Part Need has a Replacement Part, you must use all the original part before the replacement will start to be used.
Even though you search for the original part number, the replacement part will be pulled back. The replacement part will have its own line displayed. Your Supply Chain Specialist will mark the stock record for the original part so that requisitions will not be generated for it anymore.
In this example the user needs 6 washers.
- The original part number is 100023033 - it has 1 in stock.
- The replacement part number is 100023032 - it has 4 in stock.
- To obtain the total of 6, there will need to be one backordered line, and that will be the replacement part number - ending in 2032.
4. The Actions for the remaining ORIGINAL PART (100023033) that is IN STOCK will be: View Part Bin Info, Consume Part Need, Edit Quantity, Edit Need By Date and Cancel Part Need.
After this part is consumed this part will no longer be available to be used.
