Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFactoryPro.
This training course will take you through the process of correcting overlapping malfunctions.
Important info about Malfunction time:
- Malfunction is tracked at the Task level.
- You can have DIFFERENT pieces of equipment at the TASK level within the SAME Work Order.
- You cannot take a machine down that is already down – this helps prevent problems.
- You will not see malfunction time on any Task associated to a Sub-Location.
How to AVOID overlapping Malfunctions:
- Never close a Task with overlapping downtime.
- DTW Tables in Power BI (Files Menu): This report shows you where you have overlaps. Run this report weekly and clean up any overlapping malfunctions.
- Look at the Task level on any MALFUNCTION review and make sure there are no overlapping Malfunctions before marking the task Reviewed.
To clean up an overlap, delete one of the Malfunction entries:
1. Select the Overlapping Malfunctions button.
2. Navigate to the Task that has the overlap by selecting the link under Task ID.
A new window will appear showing the task in the portal.
