This training course will take you through the process of canceling a PM.
A PM can now be canceled in the Work Module as long as NO WORK have been logged against it. "No Work" being defined as: no completed steps, no added labor lines, no notes, no parts, no repair codes, no malfunctions, and no attachments. If this is done, it will require a reason for variance. This can be done on a PM that is IN or OUT of the compliance window. If a PM is canceled in the work module, that PM will NOT generate until its NEXT scheduled date. This will step users through the process of canceling a PM in the Work Module.
1. Select the PM task you would like to cancel.
When the user hovers over the Cancel button (red X button) it will display that a reason for variance is needed to cancel this task.
2. In the Summary screen of the Task select the EDIT button.
3. Select a line from the Reason for Variance drop down.
4. Select SAVE.

Reason for Variance options:
Document Unavailable, Equipment Unavailable, Part Unavailable, Personal Needed, Planning Inadequate, Scope of Work Changed, Safety Eq Unavailable, Tool Unavailable, Training Needed, canceled - New PM Generated, Canceled - Duplicate, Canceled - Created in Error, Canceled - Out of Compliance.
5. The cancel button of the Task Summary will now be clickable. By hovering over it you will be told you it can be canceled.

6. A confirmation message will appear.
7. Select Yes to confirm the canceling of this Task.
8. Another confirmation message will appear letting you know that Task is canceled.
