1.3 EFP Reports vs. Power BI Reports

Updated on

Any report that comes out of the EFP Reporting Server are transactional in nature.  This means that it is simply pulling the data entered, and not doing any analysis of the data.

On the other hand, if you want to see a report that has analysis done, like Downtime and Availability -- in which the repair time on the machine is compared to the production schedule on the equipment, you would use a Power BI report.

2. Or you can type https://app.powerbi.com into the address bar of your browser.

3. Or you can click on the app waffle and choose Power Bi from the list of Office 365 programs.

The remaining documents in this course will show you how to navigate the program.
