3.2 How do I load the Apps for my Supporting Metrics?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

The Voice of the Customer (VOC), Safety, and Cost Savings Supporting Metrics are accessed through Power BI Apps.  The first step in the process is to request Power BI access through MyEnterprise.

1. After you've been notified that access is granted, the next step is to load the apps. There are multiple ways you can access Power BI.

1.2. In your browser's address bar, type in https://app.powerbi.com/

1.3. Another option is to type powerbi.microsoft.com

1.4. Sign in to Microsoft with your ATS Credentials.

1.5. Finally,  if you are in Office 365 Web app, you can click on the App Waffle.

1.6. Click on all apps.

1.7. Select Power BI from the list.

It's a good idea to work with the menu expanded, as shown in the picture on the right.  This makes it easier to navigate the app.

3. To access the supporting metrics, you will always be using Apps, located under Recent in the Menu.

Loading the Apps for the first time:

4. Click on Apps in the menu.

5. The first time you access it, there will be no Apps loaded.

6. Click on the Get Apps button in the middle of the screen.

7. By default, Power BI will default to All Apps, which includes My Organization.  If you prefer, you can switch to Organizational Apps

8. Go to the search in the upper right corner of the screen.

9. Type Voice.

10. The option filters just to Voice of the Customer.

11. Click Get it now.

12. The Get Apps button is now in the upper right corner.  Click it to repeat the process for Safety.

13. Type Safety in the search field.

14. The Safety Reporting App loads.

15. Click Get it now.

16. Once more.  Click Get Apps.

17. Search for Cost.

18. Two Apps load.  Choose the Cost Savings Reporting.

19. Click Get it now.

The Customer Cost Savings App is no longer used.

20. Once all three apps are loaded, you should not have to repeat this process again.  The only thing left to do is to make sure they are filtered properly for your site.
