1.4 What is the Layout of the Power BI workspace?

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

1 Office 365 App Waffle Shows all Microsoft Office 365 applications on the computer.
2 3 Lines (Pancakes) Icon Expands and collapses the navigation workspace.
3 Home This button will return you to the Home screen from anyplace in Power BI.
4 Favorites Shows any page that has been documented as a favorite.
5 Recent Shows the recent pages that have been viewed.
6 Apps A collection of dashboards and reports -built by your organization to deliver key metrics for faster data-driven decisions.
7 Shared with me Shows any content that has been shared with you, as well as the person you shared with. This is where you will access the majority of your content if you have a CONSUMER license.
8 Work Spaces Allows you to choose from your personal workspace, your site group workspace, etc.
9 Content Selection button Shows the workspace you are working in.  For most this will be your site workspace.
10 Data View Options For those with a Consumer license, you will see options of Recent, Shared with me and My Apps.  Click on the proper tab to load. With the new design, the reports to access are under Shared with Me.   A report is defined as one or more pages of visualizations or charts.  When you click on Shared with me, all reports for your site will be displayed.
11 Search Search allows you to search in the content you're viewing (aka Reports).
12 Notification Center Shows any updates that have been made to to groups of which you are a member.
13 Help Help is available through the "?" icon.
14 User Controls
Log out options.
15 Create Allows you to create a new dashboard or a new dataset if you have the proper permissions.
16 Elipses (three dots) Access to the files, members, and other options of the Office 365 Site Group.
