Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.
The Cost Savings App can be accessed alone, or through the the Business Intelligence & Reporting Portal App. If you receive a message saying you don't have access, simply submit for access by requesting it in the app.
1. Log into Power BI.
2. Go to Apps from the Menu.
4. Click on Organizational Apps.
5. In the upper right corner, type in Cost and click the magnifying glass to load.
All of the reports that have not previously been installed in your workspace will be available for download.
6. Find the Cost Savings App and click on the Get It Now hyperlink.
7. A confirmation message tells you that the App is installing correctly.
8. Once installed, the App opens. If you only have access to one site, that site's information will populate.
If, however, you have access to multiple sites, you can change the display by adjusting what is selected in the area in green.
9. The top panel shows a breakdown by month of your Level 1 and Level 2 Cost Savings with progress toward the goal.
10. The bottom panel gives you the details that are driving the chart on top.
This app works like all the other Power Bi Apps. By hovering over the top right of each chart, you will see a variety of tools that allow you to expand the data to full screen, export it, turn on cross-filtering and drill-downs, and much more.
