4.4 Eaton Dashboard App

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

If you are an Eaton Site, some of your Customer Facing metrics are driven from the Eaton Metrics Dashboard App.  This app is primarily used for the Supply Chain Metrics Meeting with the Customer - but all of information feeds from the Statement of Work  (SOW).

If there is a discrepancy between what is  listed on your Goal Setting Utility Spreadsheet and your Eaton Dashboard App, please contact your ABM to resolve the difference.  Because the SOW contains contractual information, as long as it is current, the goal setting utility should be adjusted to bring the goals in line with the dashboard.

There is one metric that is figured differently than all other metrics.  This is the Eaton Proactive Percentage.  To determine this number, take 100% and subtract your CONC percentage.  You will only see this metric on the Eaton Dashboard App.

1. Go to Power BI.

You can always access Power BI by going to the ATS Homepage and clicking on Power BI under links.

2. Click on the three lines under the App waffle to expand the options.

3. Click on Apps.

4. In the upper left corner of the screen you will see "Get Apps" under your picture.

5. A pop-up window appears.  Be sure to select the Apps for Power BI and My organization options.

6. The easiest way to find the app is to type Eaton in the search field and click the magnifying glass.

7. Any Apps that you have permissions to view are visible.  You want to choose the Eaton FMS Reporting App.

8. Click Get it Now.

9. An installation message will appear.

10. Once the installation is complete, the tile will show in your Apps worksheet.  Click to enter.

11. If you want to add this to your favorites, click the star when as you are hovering over the Tile.

Fields on this App include:

  • Division
  • Site
  • Reportable Injuries
  • Critical 1 Equipment Availability
  • Critical 1 Downtime hours
  • Critical 1 Downtime hours - from SOW
  • Total Equipment Availability
  • Total Downtime Hours
  • Total Downtime Hours Goal - from SOW
  • Total PM Completion
  • Total PM Completion Goal - From SOW
  • Total Eaton Proactive %.  (100% - CONC%)
  • Total Proactive Percentage Goal - From SOW
  • Total MBTF
  • Total MBTF Goal - SOW
  • Total MTTR
  • Total MTTR Goal - SOW

By default, the report will show you a rolling three months of data.

If your site does not have a Contractual Obligation listed in the in the SOW, your goal will default to the Site Specific Goal sheet.

Any metric that is "Total" pulls from the same as the "Monthly" chart in Power BI.  This includes the following equipment groups:   Sublocation, Machine, Tool and Die and Facilities.

These Goals are manually updated every time the SOW is renewed.

Remember, unless you are preparing for the Customer Supply Chain Meeting, you should not need to use this Eaton Dashboard App.  All of the information (other than the Eaton Proactive Percentage) should match what is entered in the Goal Setting Utility.
