8.13 How do Completion Dates work?

Updated on

Completion refers to whether or not the PM was completed within the month of the Compliance finish date.

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

1. Each PM has a Compliance Window (with a Compliance Start and Compliance Finish date) and a Completion date.

2. All work must have been performed and labor stamps have been entered.

3. The PM status must be Closed and Reviewed by the end of the month that the Compliance Finish Date falls in.

  • In this case, the Compliance Window was from 3/21-4/8.
  • The Labor was completed on 4:45 am on 4/6, at which time the Task was completed.
  • It was within the Compliance window, so it's compliant.
  • As long as it would have been completed by April 30th, it would be considered Complete.
  • This task is both Complete and Compliant.

4. It is possible to miss the Compliance window and still have the PM be Complete.

  • For example, if the compliance window was 4/14-4/16.
  • And the PM was completed on 4/25 at 10:19 am.
  • Although the Compliance Date was missed, the PM is still considered to be Complete as it was finished before the end of the month in which it was due.

5. It is also possible to finish the PM out of the Compliance window and outside of the designated month - in which case the site would NOT get credit for the PM being either "Compliant" or "Complete".

  • Another example, a PM with the Compliance Window as 7/1-7/29/2016.
  • To be considered Compliant it would have had to be completed and reviewed by 7/29/2016.
  • To be considered Complete, it would have needed to be completed and reviewed by 7/31/2016.
  • Technically, the work on this PM is done, but as far as your Metrics are concerned, this PM is neither Compliant or Complete.
