As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will need to frequently receive Parts that are generated from the Refill to Targets Min/Max trigger. An Inventory Requisition is generated if there is a demand when Refill to Targets runs. The SCS reviews and releases these Requisitions to the Buyer Group, Purchasing approves and Posts the PO, then the SCS is ready to receive these Parts upon arrival. This article explains the process of receiving these parts.
Refill to Targets runs once an hour for each location.
- The ATS Location runs at 15 minutes past the hour.
- The Customer Location runs at 45 minutes past the hour.
- It can be run manually at any time if the need arises. Go to Inventory> Logistics> Logistics Manager. Choose Refill to Targets. Enter your ST number and the location, and click Submit.
Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.
1. From the main menu in the Client, go to Inventory > Logistics > Receiving.
2. Click New in the header or the blue hyperlink in the center of the page.
4. Click Save.
6. Find the line for the Part you are receiving.
7. The Units section defaults to the quantity ordered.
If you've physically received less than the quantity ordered, you would change the quantity here to the lesser amount to match what you actually received.
If you have received MORE than what was ordered, follow the return process:
8. The Bin ID will usually be empty when the part was ordered for Inventory. Scroll over to the far right to see the last stored bin. Copy and paste that into the Bin ID under Units.
- If the part is going to be consumed on a Task, you can save it to the WorkOrder Bin.
- Remember, if the Last Stored Bin was "Location", the system will not let you receive into that bin. Determine where the part is going to be stored before completing the receipt.
