The following information helps you resolve an issue if you received a part in the system but are unable to consume it on the task. When attempting to consume the part, you get an error message that says “Parts must be allocated before consumption.”
3. Under the quantities tab, confirm that there is quantity On Hand and in the Not Allocated fields.
5. Expand the red chevron.
6. Enter your Place ID From and Location from fields.
7. Enter your Place ID To and Location To fields.
8. Toggle through the Usable box until it is check.
10. Enter the Part ID number and Work Order number for the Part Need and click Search.
11. Check the box next to the Work Order.
14. Check the stock record (Inventory > Stock) to confirm that all parts are now allocated.
Enter the part number and click the magnifying glass to search. Be sure you are searching in the correct location.
