When the Tech requests a part on a Task, EFP looks at the quantity of stock available stock on hand.
If there is not enough available quantity in stock, the system will split the part needs into two lines.
The first line will show the amount that is available and able to be consumed. This line will be displayed on the bottom of the part need screen.
The second line will show the quantity that needs to be ordered to fulfill the request. Assuming that everything is set up correctly in the system, this line will kick off a requisition when refill to targets runs.
1. In our example, we are going to use Part Number 100023696 from site 0493 in the ATS location. Looking at the Stock Record (Inventory >Stock) you can see we currently have 2 on hand. The target Min/Max for this part is 0/0.
2. Enter a quantity of 11.
3. After requesting the part, you can see the quantity on hand and how many are available in the right hand column.
4. Click Create Need.
5. The part needs are shown in two lines. The bottom line is for the two that were are NOT in stock.
7. The Part Needs have been added to the Task. Once again you can see the difference from what is IN stock and what in NOT in stock.
8. The user now has the option to add more Part Needs or to Return to the Task.
9. The top line is for the two that need to be ordered. You can see under the three lines you have the ability to edit the quantity, and cancel the part need on this line.
If you need to make any changes to one of the lines - you MUST make the changes to the line that is not allocated.
10. This is what the stock record looks like before refill to targets runs.
11. Refill to Targets runs and the SCS releases the Req, and the buyer places the PO.
- If the quantity doesn't change from now until the part comes in, everything proceeds normally.
12. This is what the stock record looks like once the PO is Posted.
13. This is what the Part Need request looks like in the Portal once the PO has been posted.
Notice that the Promised By Date is now filled in.
