2.17 How do I move up a Priority 3 Parts Request to get it in under 7 days due to Customer request?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

If you requested a part with a Priority of 3, it cannot be edited in the Tech Portal.  If the requisition has not been released to the Buyer, the Supply Chain Specialist can adjust the date in the CLIENT.

Even under the Edit function, you do not have the option to move the date up.

1. From the main menu in the CLIENT, go to Inventory > Purchasing > Purchase Order.

2. Expand the red chevron.

3. Go to the Part tab.

4. Enter the Part ID.

5. Click the green magnifying glass.

6. The record will load.

7. Click on the Parts tab in the lower workspace.

8. Note the Priority and the Customer Want by Date.

9. You can easily change the data right on the line level.

9.1. Raise the Priority to 1 or 2.

9.2. A message will appear telling you that you can move the date up.

9.3. Move the date to the desired date.  (Today or after, not before.)

9.4. Click the Save Button in the header or Control S to Save.

10. Check the Events tab to see that the Priority and Customer Want by Date have been changed.

If the Customer wanted the lower the priority, you would receive a Warning message telling you that the Customer Wanted by Date must be moved back to 7 days from the date created.

11. Your changes will be reflected in the Portal.
