5.2 How do I perform a Miscellaneous Stock Adjustment to Receive a part into Stock?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

This transaction is used after doing a SPOT CHECK on a Part ID.  This transaction will add the part to your inventory if you performed an inventory count and found that the computer showed you had LESS than you do in reality.

Please make sure that there is already a stock record for the part BEFORE doing the Misc Adj.  This will ensure that the process flows correctly.  How do I add a stock record to my site?

1. From the main CLIENT menu, go to Inventory > Logistics > Logistics Manager.

2. From the menu on the left, select Miscellaneous Adjustments.

3. In the header area, select RECEIPT from the Adjustment Reason drop-down window.

4. Enter the Part ID. If you have a number of different parts, you will have to do each part on a different transaction.

5. Enter the Quantity that you want to add.

6. Enter the To Place in the header (your site's ST#).

7. Enter the To Location.

8. Enter the To Bin ID.

9. Click Submit.

10. A pop-up “Stock Adjustment complete” shows you that the transaction has completed successfully. Click OK.

Check the Part Transaction log for the Part ID to verify the transaction (Go to Inventory > Part Transactions, then enter Part ID in the search field; enter).
