4.25 When would I use the Bill of Material (BoM) Report?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

The Enterprise BOM Report will be used primarily by the SCS Support Team to search equipment BOMs for a Site, BOMs associated with an Asset at a Site, BOMs for a MFG Part ID/EFP Part ID at a Site, or BOMs for a MFG Part ID/EFP Part ID for the enterprise. The Report will show the status of the Asset (equipment) and the Stock qty at the Sites.

There are several benefits to this:

  • Help disposition inactive stock at sites
  • Reduce the % inactive inventory at the site
  • Reduce the site inventory value
  • Reduce the need to scrap parts
  • Increase sourcing efficiency

At the Site level, you would uncheck the null box and enter your four digit site number. This is one of the ways you can obtain documentation for the SAR form in order to justify increasing the min/max at your site.

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

1. From your Internet browser, go to the ATS Reporting Server.

3. You may need to open the ATS_FMS_Reports folder first if you have not made the Enterprise BOM Search report one of your favorites.

4. Click on the Bill of Materials (BoM) Report search tile.

5. To add the report to your Favorite folder, click on the three dots at the upper right corner of the tile and click the STAR next to Add to Favorites.

The report originally starts to load with all three parameter fields checked as null.  You will see the error message telling you that you must enter at least one field.

6. Enter the ATS Part ID or Manufacturer's Part Number.

7. Hit the View Report button.

8. A message will populate telling you the report is loading.

9. If the report is processing properly, the bottom bar will process below the report criteria.

10. Once the report loads, you can click on the floppy disk icon to export it to the file type of your choosing.

Report fields include:

  • Site Number
  • Place ID
  • ATS Part ID
  • Part Description
  • MFG Part Number
  • MFG Name
  • Description
  • Quantity on Hand
  • Asset ID
  • Asset Description
  • Model ID
  • Equipment Criticality
  • Equipment Operating Status
  • Stocked (Stocked = Y would mean a Min > 0 for ANY  Location at the Place ID)
