6.17 My customer wants to see all parts cost on a Work Order/Task. How do I find that?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

Anytime you want to see parts used on a Work Order, your best bet is the Material and Service Transaction History report.  Keep in mind that parts are actually consumed at the Task level.

  • If you need information from a single task, you would just enter that task number in the Task ID field.
  • If your Work Order has multiple tasks, and you want to include information from all the tasks, you can enter just the Work Order number.
  • If you do not want ALL Tasks on the Work Order, but only want to pull information from more than one task, simply enter the Task IDs separated by the Pipe key | (the key above enter).

As always, it is best to run the report from the SSRS Reporting Server in the Work Module vs. the CLIENT.  This takes the least amount of processing time and puts the least amount of strain on the server.

2. Choose Reports in the drop-down.

3. The ATS Reporting Server will load.

4. Click on the appropriate tab and folder.

  • If you have marked the report as a "Favorite" it will show under the Favorites tab.
  • If not, click on the Browse Tab and select either the English or Spanish report folder.

5. Choose the Material and Service Transaction History tile from the listing.

6. To add this report to your Favorites, click on the three lines in the upper right corner.

7. Click the Star to Add or Remove from Favorites.

8. The report parameters will load.

9. Deselect the Null box and enter your 4-digit site number.

10. The Transaction Date From will default to one month prior to the current date and time.  Click on the calendar or type over the text to change the date to the beginning of the date range.

11. Select a date from Transaction Date Thru.

12. Uncheck the Null checkbox and enter your Task ID.

13. Click the View Report.

14. A loading message will appear.

15. You will know that the report is processing properly when you see the bar below the parameters populate.

16. If you want to export the report, click the floppy disc icon and choose the export method.
