4.16 If I have to order a part in lots of 24, is there a way I can set up the system to force that?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

The answer is YES, you can set up to order certain parts with a Minimum Order Quantity.  This usually applies to things like Gloves, Rolls of Tape, or Binders, but can also be used for feet of piping or sheeting, etc.

1. From the Main Menu, go to Inventory > Stock.

2. Expand the red chevron in the search area.

3. Enter the Part ID.

4. Enter your 4-digit Site number and the appropriate Location (ATS or Customer, depending on who owns the part).

5. Click the green magnifying glass in the search field.

6. The Stock Record will load.

7. The Min Order Quantity is listed in the center column half way down.

8. Increase the Min Order Qty to the amount  you're required to order at a time.

In our example, we are saying you would have to order a box of 12 of these gloves at a time.  This is only an example.

9. Click Save to update the Stock Record.

  • The next time this Part comes up for re-order at your site, the Min Order quantity will be taken into consideration in addition to your Min/Max.
  • The Requisition will always kick off in terms of the minimum order quantity amount.
    • In this example, it would be quantities of 12, 24. 36, etc.
