4.36 How and when to use the Part Transaction Log?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

The Part Transaction Log keeps track of the movement of parts within the system. It is helpful to access the Part Transaction Log when you are trying to troubleshoot what has happened to a part since you went live on eFACTORYPRO.

1. From the Main Menu, go to Inventory > Part Transactions.

2. Enter your Part number in the text box of the search and click the green magnifying glass to populate the records below.

3. To see only your site, expand the red chevron and enter your Place ID under the Stock tab.

4. Enter the desired Location (who owns the stock) and click the green magnifying glass again.

5. The records will populate below.

6. If you wanted to further sort by transaction type, click on the General tab.

6.1. Enter the Source Type.

6.2. Enter the Adjustment Reason to further sort if needed.

6.3. Click the green magnifying glass to bring up just the records with that source code.

6.4. The quantity listed in the upper right column refers to the amount that was adjusted in this transaction.

If you start with the top transaction listed and add or subtract from that point, you should come to the same total as is currently in your stock record for this part in this stock location.
