9.9 Adding Alternate and Replacement Parts

Users will add Alternate and Replacement part info to an already existing part.

1. Go to the Parts page of the PME.

2. Select a Part from the upper grid.

3. Select the Alternates icon from the lower grid. This will show any Alternate and or Replacement Parts already associated to the Part. This is also where users will add Alternate/Replacement Parts.

Alternate Parts:

4. Select the +Alternate button in the lower grid.

What will populate will be a list of every part we currently have in our database.

5. From the pop-up users can either scroll to find their Alternate Part.

6. Or select the Table Filters icon.

Here users can add filters to narrow their search to find the part they need.

7. Once the part is found highlight that line.

8. Hit the Select button.

9. That Part will now be populated under Alternates.

10. Through the 3 dot icon users will be able to Delete this part.

Replacement Part:

11. From the same location as the +Alternate button users will select the +Replacement button.

Searching for a Replacement Part will work exactly as the Alternate Part above.

12. From the pop-up users can either scroll to find their Alternate Part.

13. Or select the Table Filters icon.

Here users can add filters to narrow their search to find the part they need.

14. Highlight the selected part.

15. Hit Select.

16. Users will be prompted to Select EFFECTIVE DATE (Default will be today's date).

17. The placement part and its info will be populated.

18. Via the 3 dot icon users will be able to Delete and Edit the Effective Date.
