6.4 PLANNING WIZARD/Job Plan: Can I search for Job Plans that have not been associated to the Asset ID when in the Planning Wizard?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

As you have learned, you can easily see and assign any Job Plan that has been associated with the Equipment during the Planning Wizard.

Now you have the ability to access virtually every Job Plan that exists in the company, as well as even create a brand new one -- all from inside the Assign Job Plan function in the Planning Wizard.  Just follow the steps below.

1. Go to the Planner Portal.

2. Click on Tasks.

3. Click on the box in front of the Task(s) you want to Plan.

4. Click on the magic wand icon to enter the Planning Wizard.

In our example, we loaded several tasks into the wizard.  The one we have chosen to work on is 678291 which is against UT10 - which is a dryer.

5. The Wizard opens to the Job Plan screen.

6. All the job plans that are associated with that Asset ID are listed below and available for you to assign.

7. If you do not see the job plan you want to use, or if there are none like is the case here, you can click the Search Job Plan button to bring up other Job Plans in your site.

8. The Search Job Plan screen launches.

9. Click on the filter button to narrow your selection.

In our example, we are going to use the Description filter.  Change the field to say "Contains" and "Oil".  Enter the word Oil and hit the Apply button.

10. The list filters to your criteria.

In this case, the site has exactly what we want so we will choose that Template.

If the site didn't have what we were looking for, you would follow the steps starting at

11. We want to assign Job Plan 50207 (Oil Analysis Route DOWN-Q) to the Task.  Click Assign.

12. Work your way to Step 6: Summary and select the Move to Scheduling button.

13. The Action will changed to "Already moved to scheduling"

Moving on to another example, we have a CM Task that the light curtain is not functioning properly on a press.

When we search for the existing job plans that are associated with our Press, we just have a generic Press Troubleshooting - which is not applicable in this case.

14. As always we will start out by clicking the Search Job Plans button.

In this case, I am going to start out by looking throughout all ATS Job Plans, as I am pretty sure that I don't have an existing Light Curtain job plan in my site.

15. Click the Search Enterprise Job Plans button.

16. A pop up box giving you access to over 20K Job Plans loads.

17. Click on the Filter icon to begin to narrow your selection.

18. The list loads.

In this case, there are only 4 Light Curtain Templates in the ATS directory.

19. Click on the eye icon to load a read only copy of the Job Plan.

20. Once you have found the plan that has steps that are closest to what you want to use, you'll know which one you want to use.

22. The job plan will be copied to your site, assigned to the task, and ready for use.

And don't forget, you also have the ability to create a new job plan from this screen as well.
