Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

If you cannot complete a Task because you are waiting on an External Service Provider, the Task Status Reason of  'Waiting on Service' can be used to explain why.  This Status Reason is available for use with two Task Statuses:  IN PLANNING and HOLD.

1. Find the Task in question.  Highlight the line to load it in the grid below.

2. The Summary Panel for the Task is the default view.

3. Click on Edit.

4. Click on the drop-down arrow next to Status Reason.

5. Choose Waiting on Service from the list.

6. Click Save.

7. You will see Waiting on Service in the Summary Panel and in the upper grid.

Remember, that the Events Tab on the Task and WO will show when the Task Status reason was changed.

As always, Task Status, Status Reasons and Task  Activity Subtypes will show on the Shift Turnover Report and in Power BI reporting.
