2.31 Why do PMs on decommissioned equipment keep generating?

Previously while using IFS users could go through the process of decommissioning a piece of equipment and the that would prevent any associated PMs to stop regenerating. That is NOT how it works in the Planner Portal. Please follow these steps to make sure your PMs stop generating on equipment that has been marked decommissioned.

 

Step to Follow:

1- Inactivate current PM Plans associated to the equipment.

2- Complete/Cancel/Review all current Work Orders associated to those PM Plans.

3- Mark equipment as decommissioned.

 

If PM Plans are NOT marked INACTIVE, even if the equipment is decommissioned, new PMs will be generated.

These steps should take care of your problem if done properly. If you follow these steps and PMs are still generating please call the help desk.
