Updated on

Essential Resources: To complete this training you must have access to eFACTORYPRO and the Control Center.

The Control Center allows you to create site-specific notifications.

You must have supervisor permissions to access the Control Center.

1. From the Navigation Pane of the Work Module, click on Control Center and select Event Monitor.

2. Each escalation/notification is called an Event Monitor.  Enter the Event Monitor name.

3. Enter a Description.

4. Move down to the Rules Tab.

  • You can group by And or OR statements.
  • You can use singular conditions or groups.

5. In this example, start by adding the singular condition:  Equipment Criticality is Down.

6. The next rule is added as a group.

7. To trigger this rule, the conditions have to be grouped by an "OR" statement.

8. The Operating Status can be Down...

9. OR the Operating Status can be Reduced.

10. The bottom of the screen displays the query.

11. Click on the Actions Tab.

By default, the Actions default to "Active", Notify after zero minutes, and NOT to notify on completion.

12. Click the checkbox next to Notify on Completion to receive an email when the ticket is completed.

13. Enter the email address of the person to receive the alert and click the add button. Repeat the process until all the appropriate people are added.

14. To have a SMS Text message sent as well, enter a mobile number in the phone number field as well. Repeat as necessary.

15. To add an additional alert, click the add action button and complete all the necessary information.

16. By default, the event monitor is created as active.

17. If you want to cancel the monitor at this time, you can use the circled X in the upper right corner.

18. After the Event Monitor is created, if you want to make changes, click on the monitor name.

19. The title will be shown in Red Italics - indicating it is in Edit mode.

20. If you want to deactivate the monitor, simply uncheck the active box.

Once an Event Monitor is created, there is no way to delete it from the system.  It will simply show in your Inactive list in case you want to reuse in in the future.
