7.39 Job Plans: When creating a Master Job Plan, how do I associate it with an equipment model?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

Only those with advanced privileges (some kind of Admin credentials) are able to create Master Job Plans.

Please note, when you are creating the job plan, you need to use the OEM and the specific model ID (not just the description) in the title, to accommodate for any specific modifications or differences between models.

In our example, we are going to create a Master Job Plan for a Monthly PM on a FINNPOWER CRIMPING PRODUCTS (HYDRAPOWER DYNAMICS LTD) Model 32UC22.

Be sure to follow all the standard naming convention rules in the creation of the job plan.

1. Under the Summary Tab, include the OEM and Model # in the description, and end with the frequency (-M for monthly, etc.)

2. Team ID will be blank because it is a Master Job Plan.

3. Ensure all steps are completely filled out, in the proper order, etc.

4. Enter the duration and a skill-set and associated time.

You will want to save as you move between screens as you enter new information.

5. If parts are needed, you can add them to the Parts tab.

Any parts that have been added will be copied down to the Site Job Plan as a staged part.

6. Click on the Equipment Tab.  Because this is a Master job plan (and Equipment can't be added), only models are listed.

7. Click on the funnel icon to bring up the filters.

8. Your options are Model ID, OEM (Manufacturer) and Description.

In the screenshot below, we entered the Model ID, OEM starts with Finn and the Description contains Crimper.

If, however, this template could apply to multiple Finn-Power Crimpers, you might want to just enter the OEM and Description, and select a number of options from the choices below.

  • If you are doing this, remember to add the other models to the title.

9. Click Apply to load the results.

10. Results are displayed.

11. Click the Add button to move the model to the right hand side of the screen.

12. Once you've confirmed that the proper model is in the Selected Model section, click Save.

13. A confirmation message tells you that the job plan has been updated successfully.

14. A green checkmark appears in front of the OEM on the model record so that you know it has already been added.

15. From here, you can add attachments if necessary or continue to modify the plan as desired.

When sites copy the master job plan down to their site, EFP will not automatically apply the Job Plan to their Finn-Power 32UC22 Crimpers.  The model association is just used as a reference for sites to know that the plan is available for their use.
