2.9 How should I set up my screen to make it easiest to cancel PMs when I have A LOT to do?

Updated on

The easiest way to begin is to have a spreadsheet with all the overdue PMs that you need to cancel.  You can get this from the Portal.

1. From the Navigation Pane of the Work Module, choose Tasks.

2. Select All Open PMs from the drop-down.

3. Select the Tables Filters button.

4. Scroll down to Compliance Finish.

5. Enter the date range of the PMs you would like to cancel.

In this example we will use DATE instead of OFFSET.

6. Select Apply.

7. The grid will now populate with open PM whose Compliance Dates fall within the chosen date. The total number of tasks will been shown at the top.

From here each task will need to be selected and the status of CANCELED will need to be manually changed.

8. To change a status to Canceled the user will first select the Task line.

9. Select the EDIT button from the Task Summary.

10. From the Status drop down select Canceled.

11. Select Save.

12. The Task is now Canceled.

If you have PM tasks to cancel, you will still have to go to the Work Module task grid and cancel them individually.

It's also worth mentioning that PM that are marked as INACTIVATED in the Planner Portal will NOT regenerate in the future. This will greatly reduce the need for mass cancellations of PMs.
