Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.
When we talk about the "Schedule Button", we are actually referring to the button just under the Progress bar and just above the grid. This button allows you to schedule one or more task at a time.
The button will be grayed out if the P/S has chosen a Scheduling Period that is in a past period, and/or if no tasks are checked (as is seen in the screenshot below.)
1. After logging into eFACTORYPRO, go to the Navigation Pane and click on Planner/Scheduler or go directly to the Planner Portal by clicking on the hyperlink below.
2. Click on Scheduling.
3. Go to the Period you want to schedule for.
Remember - You should always be scheduling one week in advance whenever possible.
4. The default view will be the current scheduling period. You will only see hours for 4 weeks in advance but you will be able to schedule as far out as you need to.
5. In order to see which tasks truly qualify for scheduling in this period, we have filtered the Compliance fields. This is just for the purpose of this exercise.
Again, these should have been scheduled the week before, you should not be waiting until the current week to schedule and assign tasks that are not break-in work.
6. As all of these tasks qualify for scheduling during the the selected period, we have clicked all of the check-boxes to select the tasks.
8. A confirmation message appears.
It will tell you how many tasks are going to be processed.
9. Click YES.
The blue bar moves across the top of the screen to show you that the system is processing.
10. A pop-up tells you that the Tasks have been processed correctly.
11. Click OK.
All 3 Tasks are now removed from the Grid.
- EFP will save all of your selected tasks in memory until you click the Schedule button.
- The layout of the Period Capacity screen is scrollable, and all the tasks that you select will remain in memory until you hit the schedule button.
- This is true whether or not they happen to be visible on the screen at the time you hit the button or not.
